Denis Hector is an Associate Professor of Architecture and Director of Graduate Studies. He is a graduate of Cornellb's Bachelor of Architecture Program, subsequent study at the Institut fur Leichte Flaechentragwerke in Stuttgart with Frei Otto, and the University of Pennsylvaniab's Master of Science in Architecture Program. He teaches in the undergraduate and graduate core and option studios as well as the introductory structures course and elective seminars in theories of structure, bridge design, and tensile structures. Publications include Hurricane Hazard Mitigation, edited with Beth Dunlop, in which Professor Hector outlines a "Five-Point Disaster Plan," as well as publications of numerous papers delivered at the ACSA national meetings and Technology meetings. He and Joanna Lombard practice architecture together and won a Florida A.I.A. "unbuilt award" for the Clematis House.
