Goals
1. Provide state of the art research and technology transfer for the understanding of complex dynamic wind loads on structures, to improve structural performance, without sacrifice to safety, aesthetics and sustainability.
2. Continued development and verification of computational fluid dynamics software enabling computer simulation of complex flow effects in the built environment.
3. Advance significant improvements in civil structure repair technology to predict and enhance resistance to natural disasters and man-made threats.
4. Development of sophisticated computational tools to simulate interior and exterior building micro climates to assess significant habitability and environmental issues including pollutant effects.
5. Investigate advanced aircraft design including development of simulation methods for prediction and analysis of nonlinear aeroelasticity effects.
